Terms of Service

  • KinderLynk is provided by Codenius Tech to schools. You use it through an account your school gives you.
  • Use it respectfully and only for school purposes.
  • Fee payments are between you and your school and are processed by Razorpay.

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the KinderLynk mobile apps and the website kinderlynk.com (together, the "Service"), provided by Codenius Tech ("we", "us"). By signing in or otherwise using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Using the Service through a school

Schools buy the Service from Codenius Tech outside the app. The app is free to download, but you can only use it if a school has created an account for you. There is no public sign-up. The school decides which features it enables, which information it enters, and who has access. Questions about school records, fees, attendance or results should go to the school.

3. Accounts

  • Accounts are issued by schools to parents and guardians, students, teachers and staff, school administrators, and bus drivers or caretakers. Student logins are issued at the school's discretion.
  • Keep your password confidential and tell the school or us at support@kinderlynk.com if you think someone else has used your account.
  • You are responsible for activity under your account. Please give accurate information.
  • A school may suspend or remove an account at any time.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the Service for anything other than legitimate school purposes;
  • harass, threaten, abuse or bully anyone, or send unlawful, hateful, obscene or misleading content;
  • upload, share or request any content that sexually exploits or endangers a child. This is prohibited and will be reported (see Child Safety Standards);
  • access another person's or another school's data, or try to bypass access controls;
  • photograph or record people without a proper school purpose, or misuse gate, visitor or CCTV features;
  • copy, share or publish live CCTV images or other children's information outside the Service;
  • introduce malware, probe or interfere with the Service, or reverse engineer it except as the law permits; or
  • use the Service in breach of any applicable law.

5. Your content

You may send messages, photos and attachments, and schools may enter records. You keep your rights in your content. You give us and the relevant school permission to store, process and display it as needed to run the Service. You are responsible for your content and for having the right to share it. Messaging is available only between members of the same school, and the school's administrators may moderate it. We may remove content that breaches these Terms or the law.

6. Fees and payments

KinderLynk has no ads and no in-app purchases. School fees and school-store orders are an arrangement between the parent and the school. Payments are made through Razorpay checkout and are subject to Razorpay's own terms. Card, UPI and bank details are entered with Razorpay and do not reach KinderLynk. We receive only the order id, payment id, amount and status. Questions about what is owed, receipts or refunds should be directed to the school. Codenius Tech is not a party to the fee arrangement between you and the school. The app does not support payments between users.

7. Availability and changes

We work to keep the Service available, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. It may be unavailable for maintenance, because of events outside our control, or because of problems with third parties such as network or push notification providers. Live features such as bus location and CCTV depend on the school's equipment and connectivity. We may improve, change or discontinue features. Do not rely on the Service as your only means of contact in an emergency; please contact the school directly.

8. Intellectual property

The Service, including the KinderLynk name, software, design and documentation, belongs to Codenius Tech or its licensors and is protected by law. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the apps for their intended purpose while you have an account. Schools and users keep ownership of their own records and content.

9. Privacy

How we handle personal data is described in the Privacy Policy. You can delete your account as described on the Account Deletion page.

10. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. A school may end your access. We may suspend or end access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or to protect users, especially children. If a school's agreement with us ends, access for that school's users may end and the school's records will be handled according to that agreement. Sections that by their nature should continue, such as intellectual property, disclaimers and liability, will continue after termination.

11. Disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we do not give warranties other than those that cannot be excluded, including any implied warranty of fitness for a particular purpose. School records are entered by schools, and we are not responsible for their accuracy.

12. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Codenius Tech will not be liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of data, or loss of profit arising from your use of the Service, and our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount, if any, you paid us for it in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Schools' liability to you is governed by your arrangement with the school.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to any rights you have under mandatory law, the courts in India will have jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms. Please contact us first at support@kinderlynk.com so we can try to resolve the matter informally.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. We will post the new version here with a new effective date and, for material changes, notify users through the app or by email. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
